ROONEY, Ed of Surrey, BC passed away Feb. 9, 2008 at the age of 93, following a brief illness. Ed was in Peace Arch Hospital, White Rock with his niece Irene at his bedside. Ed farmed for many years at Marshall, SK then retired to BC. Ed is survived by one sister Lorraine Booth of Gloucester, MA, USA and one brother Raymond H. Rooney of Saskatoon, SK; also a nephew Raymond E. Rooney of Saskatoon; a niece Irene Nicholson (Rooney) of Burlington, ON; a nephew John Rooney his wife Louise Benoit and their four children Karen, Patrick, Ryan & Steven, all of Saskatoon; a niece Susan Shrobacz (Booth) her husband Billy & daughter Elizabeth; a nephew David Booth his wife Marsha & their two children Ian & Lindsay. Ed enjoyed his time and many friends at his residence, the Peninsula Resort. Special thanks to Dr. Spangehl & the nursing staff at Peace Arch Hospital emergency department & the 4th Floor for their kindness and caring. No funeral at Ed's request.
