It is with everlasting peace and deep love that the Zickler, Jasiura, and Smith families wish to announce the passing of their Mom and Grandmother, Eileen Smith, on August 11, 2003.
Her passion for letter writing kept her closely connected over the years to friends and extended family members; she has been the glue that keeps the family together. Eileen grew up in Winnipeg, Manitoba, raised her children in Thunder Bay Ontario and retired with her husband Lorne (who predeceased her in 2000) to live at Crescent Beach. She enjoyed her last 8 months surrounded by the supportive community of Sunnyside Manor in White Rock.
A celebration of Eileen's life will be held on Monday, August 18, 2003 at Victory Memorial Park at 1:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the families welcome donations to the Palliative Care Unit at Peace Arch Hospital and to the local Food Bank.
