REID - Eileen Teresa
Nee Judge, March 5th 1933 in Birkenhead, England
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our loving wife, mother and nana on October 3rd, 2008 at home with loved ones. She inspired us all with her courage and spiritual strength especially during her past 14-month fight with cancer. She is survived by Emerson, her devoted husband of 46 years; daughters, Louise Reid, Maria Gallie and Debbie Packer; grandsons, Eric, Luke, Simon, Nyman and Ronan. Teaching opportunities in Europe, and later, Emerson's work took Eileen and her family to many places abroad inspiring a love of international cuisine, music and literature. Passionate about classical music and opera, she was a board member of the White Rock Concert Society for 14 years. Eileen found comfort and guidance in her Catholic faith.
She will be truly missed.
The family is very grateful for the compassionate care provided by Peach Arch Hospital and the Hospice Palliative Care Team.
Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, October 9th at 11:00am at Good Shepherd Church in South Surrey.
In lieu of flowers, family asks that donations be made to BC Cancer Society or Canadian Food for Children.
