It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Elsie, wife of loving husband Raymond of 40 years. Predeceased by husband Henry and daughter Judith (Andy). Elsie will be greatly missed by her sons Jerry (Gabrielle) and Kenneth (Paulette), stepson Jim (Anne) and stepdaughter Joan (Ian); granddaughter Kirsten (Mark), great grandsons Isaac and Jakob; grandsons Olen, Liam and Harlan.

The oldest child, predeceased by brothers Irwin, Walter, Wilfred and Harvey. Elsie is survived by sisters Doreen, Erna, Helen and Lily, and brothers Herb, Dave and Fred, and many nephews and nieces.

Elsie was born and raised near Lamont, Alberta - She raised her family in the Lower Mainland eventually retiring with Ray in White Rock. She worked for Woodward's in the Fabrics and volunteered for many years with the Auxiliary for Peace Arch Hospital thrift store and was known for her humour and hard work. She was an avid gardener, baker and an awesome seamstress with a passion for travel, yard sales and walking. She and Ray loved to go to ballgames and their many get-togethers with friends. Elsie provided constant support for family and friends.

A memorial tea will be held at the residence of Joan and Ian on Saturday, September 8th, at 1823 - 134 Street, White Rock, BC from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
