The family of Elsie Newton is very saddened to announce her sudden passing on September 27.
Born in Vancouver in 1923 she married John Newton in 1946.
They settled in Crescent Park and raised their two children, Diane & Fred there.
She loved playing cards and was out almost everyday at the Seniors Centre to play crib or whist.
Well known at White Rock Seniors Centre on Kent Street, she also traveled to Cloverdale, Newton & Guildford. Predeceased by husband John and one granddaughter Sara, she will badly missed by her three grandchildren and one great grandson.
In lieu of flowers donations to the Breast Cancer Society or Heart & Stroke Foundation or Royal Columbian Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
Service and burial to be held at Valley View Memorial Gardens on Wednesday October 4, 2006 at 10:00 a.m.
