READ, Elsie W.
It is with great sadness that we announce that Elsie W. Read passed away at Oceanview Care Home in her sleep and went to her Lord, as she wanted on July 22, 2009. Elsie was 94 years old and led a wonderful Christian life, helping everyone including family. She was a missionary and later joined the RCAF Medical Corps during the war. She also worked for over 25 years at Vancouver General Hospital and has always enjoyed life. She will be sadly missed by brother
Robert (Della) Read and family; sister Winnifred (Arthur) Dery and family; and lots of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brother Ronald (Jennie) Read in 2007, and her special niece, Patty Read in 2009. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
