BONAR, Elspeth
(Elsie) Stephen nee Kelly
Wife of Leslie James Bonar for 61 years. Born March 24, 1920, she passed away peacefully August 25, 2007 at the Al Hogg Pavilion, Peace Arch Hospital after an extended struggle with Parkinson's. She grew up in Lynn Valley and spent many years skiing on Holly burn Mtn. (where she met her husband to be) before serving in the RCAF in WW2 at Comox airbase in the control tower. We wish our mom/wife to be remembered as the thoughtful, always giving lady that she was. Her love and devotion to her husband was a gift and inspiration to her family, daughter Ruth (Brian Heiland) Brianne & Brock: daughter Ellen (Johnathon Harris) Caery; daughter Joanne (Bob Obermeyer) Jared, James & Jocelyn (Tyson Stephen) & great grandchildren Kiera & Kiley. We wish to express our heartfelt thanks to the nurses & staff of the Al Hogg Pavilion for their kind care and comfort of our mom/wife.
