TAYLOR, Ernest Guy (Ernie) of White Rock, BC. Passed away peacefully in Peace Arch Hospital on April 10, 2005. Born in Calgary, BC April 4, 1920 and raised in Garden Plain and Castor BC. He is survived by his loving wife June. Also surviving is his son David and daughter Betty (Ken Goertz) of 100 Mile House BC, daughter Daphne (Michael Taylor) of Saskatoon, SK. Also survived by stepchildren Carol Vorderman (nee Warren) of Williams Lake BC, Jim Miller (Pat) of Calgary AB, Dan Miller (Eileen) of Prince George BC, Catherine Center (Richard) of Aurora ON, 11 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren. Ernie served in the R.C.A.F. in World War II, mostly in India, from Sept 1941 to Dec 1945. On his return to Canada he attended Palmer Chiropractic College in Davenport, Iowa and practiced in Penoka AB and Vancouver BC before moving to 100 Mile House, BC in 1952. Ernie was one of the early pioneers who helped build the town and he remained in that area for 30 years. He is lovingly remembered by friends in Alberta, 100 Mile House BC, Abbotsford, Tsawwassen and White Rock, having lived a life of service to others. The family wishes to express appreciation to Dr. G. Gibbings, Dr. Rod LeBlanc DTCM, the Emergency and Palliative Care Units at Peace Arch Hospital for their excellent care. Donations may be made to Palliative Care Unit, Peace Arch Hospital, White Rock, BC. A Celebration of Life wil be held in Alberta at a later date.
