DENSON, Ernest Thomas

Born October 26, 1919 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and raised on a farm in Dunblane, Saskatchewan.

Survived by Deanna (Eric), Ron, and grandsons Robert (Shelley), and Brian (Nicole), sister Phyllis in Toronto, several nieces and a nephew.

Predeceased by wife Myrtle (nee Robinson), 2003, sister Laura, 1993, brother Bill, 2007, and parents Ralph (1963) and Daisy (nee Sharman) 1985.

He left the farm in 1939 to become an RCAF Aircraft Mechanic repairing and maintaining bomber planes in Shediac, New Brunswick where he met and married his future wife of 59 years. In 1945 after the end of WW II, he moved to Vancouver, BC where he worked as a labourer manufacturing concrete products for a small company named Williams Concrete. He very quickly became its foreman which lasted until he bought the company in 1964 and ran it until selling it at age 55 in 1975. He stayed as general manager for one more year and retired. He and mom then enjoyed the happiest years of their lives travelling by recreational vehicle around North America, particularly Arizona, for several winters. He resided in South Surrey, BC from 1979 until his passing on April 21, 2009 after a brief illness.

We will remember him as a loyal, very hard working, dedicated, honest man who never wavered from his responsibility to his family with much adversity including mom's breast cancer when she was only 22.

Where would all of us be ithout his support? We'll miss him.
