HOWARD, ERNESTINE LOUISE
(nee Higgins)
Born Aug. 4, 1918 in Elstow, Sask. Passed away at Peace Arch Hospital on July 24, 2008.
Predeceased by her husband of 62 years, James in 2005, brother Wattie 1989, and sister Nettie 1996. Survived by son Les (Joyce), grandson Dustin (Kristi-Lee), granddaughter Adelle, her sisters Alice Thew, Leila Black, Maxine Brown, brothers Art, Warnie, Terry and Doug Higgins, also many nieces and nephews and family whom she loved dearly.
Erny met and married Jim in Sask. while Jim was training with the RAF in 1943. They were transferred back to England and after the war they moved back to Canada and settled in White Rock in 1946.
Mom loved her bingo and meeting her many friends and relatives for coffee at the mall. She also had great joy in knowing she was gong to be a great grandmother. She will be sadly missed by all. A special thanks to the Drs., nurses and staff at Peace Arch Hospital.
No funeral by request. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Peace Arch Hospital Foundation.
