Eva Irene Howe passed away peacefully at Peace Arch Hospital on May 1, 2008, at the age of 88.

Eva was born on April 19, 1920 in Saint Ives, Cambridge, England. Eva worked as a shop keeper and a jam factory hand during World War 2 where she met her husband, Victor Howe. Eva and Vic were married shortly after on December 21, 1941. Eva and Vic moved to Canada in 1974 where they settled in White Rock, BC and Eva quickly gained employment as a Sterilization Technician at Peace Arch Hospital where she worked and retired after 10 years of dedicated service. During their time together in Canada, Eva and Vic spent many weekends enjoying their mobile home in Birch Bay, Washington. Eva also took great pleasure in handing out candies to local shop merchants, especially at Semiahmoo Shopping Centre, which she often frequented daily.

Pre-deceased by her husband Victor Howe in 1985, Eva is survived by her daughter Yvonne Neale and partner John Vosper of Vancouver; her son Paul Howe and his wife Sheila of Cloverdale; five grandchildren, Nicholas Neale and girlfriend Siony Victor; Natalie McGinley, and husband Steve; Joanne Douglas, and husband Fred; Darryl Howe, and girlfriend Anne Butt; Richard Howe, and girlfriend Cherai Millership; sister Joyce Bromboszcz and husband Tony of Cambridge England; and brother Roy Mason of St Neots, Cambridge, England.

Our beloved mother, nana, sister and friend will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.

Memorial service will be held at Tuesday May 27 at 2:00pm, Evergreen Baptist Home 1550 Oxford Street White Rock, with the Reverend Ken Klassen officiating, reception to follow.
