Passed away in her 93rd year on April 12, 2003. She was born on April 27, 1909 in Fort William, Ontario. Predeceased by her husband Thomas E.R. Jacobs, eldest daughter Betty Watson, two sisters Ida Crawford and Margaret Graham and son-in-law John Slack. She is survived by daughter Rita (Paul) Nordstrand of Ottawa, Ontario, daughter Roberta Slack of Mission, 7 grandchildren (Helen, Lisa, Donalee, Judy, Michael, Kirsten and Jamie), 11 great-grandchildren and many cousins, nieces and nephews. As well, she leaves behind many loving and kind friends and fellow White Rock Naturalists. She was a woman of great strength. Loving and compassionate for all of nature's wonders. Cremation - no service by request. A Memorial Tea will be held at a later date.
