Eveline Alice Spinks

was born on October 24th, 1924 in Beaverlodge, Alberta and passed away on October 11th, 2009 in the Polson North Extended Care Unit of Vernon Jubilee Hospital at the age of 84 years.

Eveline will be lovingly remembered by her children, Robert (Sadie) of Dawson Creek, B.C., Patricia (Gary) Blum of Dawson Creek, B.C., Margo (Sean) Carlin of Topley, B.C., Roger of Coldstream, B.C., Raymond (Sandy) of Vernon, B.C., Ronald of Port Coquitlam, B.C. and Randall of Coldstream, B.C.; twelve grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd George Spinks on February 26th, 2002; one infant sister; and four brothers.

Eveline was a very quiet, loving and caring woman who always had a positive attitude towards life. Her chosen profession of being a nurse exemplified the gift she possessed of being able to care for others. She remained in the nursing profession for well over 30 years. Eveline was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed by her family. She loved reading and could always be found relaxing, enjoying a favorite book. She always enjoyed watching hockey games and was a loyal fan of the Vernon Vipers. The Funeral Service was held at All Saints Anglican Church, Vernon, B.C. on Monday, October 19th, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. with The Reverend Dr. Bill Harrison officiating. Interment followed in the Coldstream Cemetery.
