Gordon was born in Vancouver on November 28, 1923 and was youngest of 4 brothers. He grew up in the Point Grey area and graduated from Magee Secondary School. After serving in the Royal Canadian Navy during the war, he attended UBC and graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering. Gordon moved to West Vancouver in 1956 and enjoyed many years in the closely-knit community of Copper Cove near Whitecliff Park. The girl's fondly remember their wonderful childhood skiing, swimming, fishing & boating with their dad, summer salmon derbies, community Easter egg hunts and Christmas parties. Gordon enjoyed a very successful career, retiring in 1988 as a Sr. Engineer and partner with Dayton & Knight Ltd. in West Vancouver. He then moved to White Rock where he and his wife Agnes, spent 20 years of retirement.

We wish to express our heartfelt thanks to those at Evergreen Baptist Home who gave great care to Gordon as well as their support to the family. We are also extremely grateful for the exceptional care he received during his last few days at the Weatherby Pavilion at Peace Arch Hospital. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date in June. For those who wish, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society.
