It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Harold Albert Satterfield on June 5, 2003 after months of suffering. Harold is survived by his devoted wife of 51 happy years, Doreen; by two step-sons, Terrence and Donald Smith in Vancouver; his twin brother Ronald in Victoria; his younger brother Norman in Toronto; and many beloved cousins, nephews and nieces. By Harold's request, there will be cremation and no service. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the charity of your choice would be appreciated. Harold will be remembered for his knowledge of wild flowers and his keen interest in the outdoors, hiking and walking many miles tirelessly. He will always be remembered as a totally, finely, principled unselfish person in every sense of the word. Having been a member of the White Rock and Surrey naturalist club for many years, he now holds a life membership in the club. Harold was always ready with a warm smile and a zest for living. We loved him very much. God bless you and may you rest well, my dear husband. You will always be sadly missed.
