Hazel was born on May 12, 1915 in Lipton Saskatchewan, passed away peacefuly at Finlay Pavillion, White Rock on February 15, 2003.
Hazel moved to B.C. and resided in Vancouver until she relocated to Powell River in 1955 upon marrying Jimmy Walker. During their 27 years in Powell River, Hazel opened the area's first two rest homes, which she operated and enjoyed for several years. Following retirement and prior to moving to White Rock in 2000, they enjoyed many years in Richmond and Kelowna with family, friends and their many cherished dogs and birds.
Survived by husband Jimmy; daughters Dawn, Alberta and Gloria (Rod); brother Ross (Dorothy); sister Edna (Claude) and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Predeceased by sister Evelyn, and grandson Wade. Cremation and family gathering was held.
