HELMA STUEBNER

Wonderful sister, neighbour and friend

October 23 1936 - July 13, 2008

Helma was born in Dusseldorf and raised in Unna, Germany. In 1959 she immigrated to Canada and in 1977 moved to White Rock.

Spending the majority of her working life in the wine industry, Helma was employed by Grower's Wines in Victoria and Ste-Michelle in Surrey. The overtime she worked during the vintage allowed her to visit her family in Germany each year.

Helma loved to travel, to garden, to learn (especially about Greece and Rome) and loved her dogs. She arranged that Hunter and Minnie would have good homes. Through persistance and hard work, Helma bought a house, filled it with things she treasured and had a beautiful garden.

Helma will be greatly missed by her loving sisters, Klaere, Rosemarie, and Ursula and their families, and her many friends in Germany and Canada. She passed peacefully and will res with her beloved mother and father in Unna.

Thanks to the staff of the Surrey Cancer Agency, the Palliative home care team and Dr. J.O'Brien.

No service by her request.

In lieu of flowers a donation to the S.P.C.A. or Cancer research would be appreciated.
