March 10, 1914 - May 24, 2004. Born in Thunder Bay, Ontario, passed away peacefully at Peace Arch Hospital, leaving behind Alli, his loving wife of 66 years, his daughter and son-in-law Charmaine and Jon Schonblom, four granddaughers, Lisa Pilot, Gwen Forman, Andrea Hartenberger and Michelle Kelley and eight great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by his brothers Rudy, Bob, Raymond, Armand and his sisters Marge Smith, Betty Ryan, Bernie Barnes, Gene Wilson, Rosemary Bailey. One sister, Jessie Pineau, predeceased him.
Henry always loved learning as much as teaching. His career as English teacher spannded over 40 years. He was true gentleman and kept his fine sense of humour until the end.
He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
In lieu of flowers, which the family gratefully declines, donations may be made to the Peace Arch Hospital Foundation or the Canuck Place Childrens's Hospital. Services were held at Good Shepherd church 2250 - 150th Street, Surrey, B.C., Tuesday June 1st at 10:30 a.m.
