RYAN, HILDEGARD
(nee Wessler)
Hildegard left us suddenly on March 29, 2009. She was born in Essen-Borbeck, Germany on March 10, 1926. Following her formal education and training in physiotherapy she practiced in Germany. In 1967 Hilde travelled to England to study English and then to Vallejo, California to study new
techniques in physiotherapy. She settled in Vancouver and worked at C.A.R.S. and V.G.H. where she made lasting friends. She ended her career at the Peace Arch Hospital and spent her retirement years in the White Rock area where she enjoyed her hobbies of rock hounding and jewellery making with her husband Gordon. Her thirst for knowledge, artistic abilities, meticulousness and love of family and friends will always be remembered. Her husband Gordon, her brothers Ernst, Johannes and Rudolf and her sister Mary-Louisa predeceased Hilde. She leaves her sisters Clara and Elisabeth, brothers Karl-Hermann and Gerhard and their families in Germany as well as her friends in Germany and Canada. A memorial service, interment of ashes and reception will be held at Valley View Funeral Home, 14660-72nd. Ave., Surrey, B.C. on Friday, April 17, 2:00 p.m.
