Born in Norway 1906, slipped away peacefully October 25, 2004.
Survived by his wife Myrtle, stepsons Walter, Arthur, Russell and Gary Newcombe; four granddaughters, 2 grandsons, 6 great grandchildren; niece Mary Bartholamew of West Vancouver and nephew Bill Christofferson of Alberta.
Jack was a proud and respected gentleman who along with his wife relocated from Powell River to White Rock to be closer to his loving family.
Jack was a skillful commercial fisherman who singlehandedly built his fish boat RANA and spent many years on Okeover Inlet Powell River.
He will be remembered for his gentle and humorous manner.
