THOMAS, ISOBEL CATHERINE GRACE (SPLITT)

Isobel Thomas, born in Edinburgh, Scotland, died November 2, 2008 in White Rock, B.C. Predeceased by her husband Captain Douglas Thomas. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and aunt.

Left to mourn are daughter Norma Thomas-Dudley, son Andrew Thomas, son-in-law Jmaes Dudley, her “three treasures” – grandchildren Jacqueline Thomas, Matthew and Madeline Dudley of White Rock and Langley, and niece June Buckley and family in Leicester, England.

Isobel emigrated to White Rock in 1947. She was involved with the incorporation of the city, a founding member of the Gage Park group of the Peace Arch Hospital Auxillary, an early member of the White Rock Players Club, a producer of the White Rock Choral Society and a founding member of White Rock Baptist Church.

A Memorial Service celebrating her life will be held on Wednesday, November 12 at 1:00 p.m. at White Rock Baptist Church, Fireside Lounge. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Peace Arch Hospital Foundation.
