KILBY - Jack Robert

March 19, 1924 - June 12, 2008

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Husband/Dad/ Grandpa/Great Grandpa. Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Jack came out to Vancouver as a child in 1934, where he eventually met and married his wife Louise Adeline (Straker) in 1944. Predeceased by his parents Fred & Reta, brother Bill (& wife Rhea), Jack is survived by his loving wife Louise, daughters Terry (Alain), Diane (Eric) and Deborah, 5 grandchildren (& spouses), 7 great grandchildren, 2 sisters Lucille and Yvonne (Frank deceased), as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Dad had a great love of nature and enjoyed his fishing time spent at the cabin he built on Clearwater Lake in the Chilcotin. He equally enjoyed soaking up the sunshine during his and Mom's annual trip to Maui. The fruits of his labour in the vegetable garden were enjoyed by us all, as well as the deer and rabbits. His kind and gentle heart will be sadly missed. At Jack's request, there will be no service. If desired, a donation in his memory to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
