HOWARD: James Frederick Douglas. Born April 13, 1911 in Maidenhead, England. Passed away at Peace Arch Hospital on February 2, 2005. Survived by his wife of 62 years, Ernestine, son Les (Joyce), grandson Dustin (Krista) and granddaughter Adelle also brother Bernard and niece Vanda (Paul) in England. Predeceased by his sister Madge Gibbs. Jim was with the RAF and training in Sask, where he met Erny, and married Feb. 3, 1943. They were then transferred back to England and after the war they moved back to England and after the war they moved back to Canada and settled in White Rock in 1946. Dad loved his garden and his home. He will be sadly missed by family and friends. A special thanks to the nurses and staff of the Palliative Care Unit at Peace Arch Hospital. No funeral by request.
