Ellis, Janice Sarah Catherine
March 9 1954 - December 25 2006
Janice passed away Christmas morning in her home with her husband by her side after a hard fought eight month battle with cancer. Janice is survived by her soul mate, partner and husband Doug, along with their children, Colby and Sarah and her brother Bruce. Janice (nick named Bubbles for her uplifting and energetic personality) was born in Vancouver and moved to Auckland New Zealand at the age of five until her early twenties. Janice lived and worked for a few years in the Cook Islands and Oman returning to a management position with Mazda New Zealand in the mid eighties. After meeting her husband Doug in 1984 Janice moved back to Canada and proceeded to further her education with degrees in finance, marketing, education and French. Janice was a constant and dedicated volunteer throughout the community within her children's schools, hockey, soccer, scouts, and Red Cross and old age homes. Janice was a loving, caring mother and wife and her passing is a tremendous loss for the community, her friends and her family.
In lieu of flowers, Donations to the Canadian Cancer Foundation will be appreciated. There will be a celebration of Janice's life held on Sat. Dec. 30 2006 at the Northview Golf Club 6857 - 168th Street, Surrey at 3:30 p.m.
