Jessie Redfern of White Rock passed away peacefully on Sunday April 30, 2017. Beloved wife of Paul Redfern, Jessie was an avid gardener, flower-arranger and singer. Born in Oldham UK in 1938, Jessie studied music in Rome as a teenager before marrying Paul in 1957. Together they welcomed three sons – Bruce, Philip and Martin. In 1973, the family moved to Newfoundland, Canada. Jessie cared for the home, raised the boys, and continued to study and teach singing. The couple retired to White Rock in 1992, where Jessie enjoyed many friends and activities including the White Rock Garden Club, the Church of the Holy Trinity, and the Newcomers.
Jessie will be greatly missed by Paul, Bruce, Philip and Martin as well as her daughters-in-law Deborah and Emmanuelle, her grandsons Adam and Samuel, and Adam’s wife Kristina.
A celebration of her life will be held for friends and family in White Rock at a later date.
