BELCHAM, Joanne
Passed away peacefully with family by her side on December 27, 2007 after a brave and courageous battle with cancer. Survived by her loving husband Bob of 43 years; sister Pat Park, children Laurie (Daniel) Kuruisuva, Robert (Julia) Belcham and Kerry (David) Lower, cherished grandchildren Eli Belcham and Eva Kuruisuva numerous neices and nephews, and many dear friends.
Joanne spent her life helping others not only through her work with Social Services in Peace River and Edmonton and Senior Support Services in Surrey but through volunteer work with Crisis Lines, Womens Shelters, the homeless, the Lions Club in Edmonton and various sports teams that her children were involved with. Known for her love of baking, Joanne never had any empty cookie tins around the house and she put smiles on countless faces with her sweet sensations.
Joanne was the tie that bound the family together and she will be sorely missed.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, January 5th from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Sunnyside (Senior Support Services)
