John Aldon (Jack) Naylor

Passed away peacefully at Peace Arch Hospital, White Rock, B.C. on January 5, 2003. Jack was predeceased by his parents, George and Helena, sisters Sadie and Ruby, and his brother Ged. His wife, Irene passed away in 1999. He is survived by his daughter Karen (Bruce) of Winnipeg and son Jim (Wendy) of Brandon, Manitoba, as well as six grandchildren, Karla, Johanna, Colleen, Adrian, Keir and Rhys.

Jack was born and raised in Saskatoon and received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan. He had a successful career with the Canadian National Railways, working in Saskatoon, Victoria, Prince Rupert, Winnipeg and finally in Montreal, where he attained the position of Manager of Planning for the CNR. Jack and Irene retired to White Rock in 1983.

Jack was active in many pursuits including woodworking, curling, travelling and photography, and he greatly enjoyed the friendships he made particularly with railroaders across the country. A memorial service to celebrate his life was attended by friends and relatives in White Rock on January 9, 2003. Contributions in memory of Jack's life can be made to the charity of your choice.
