JOHN FRANCIS MEAD
September 21, 1920 - October 28, 2007
John passed away peacefully with his wife Carol and sister-in-law Jeanne Andrews at his side. He leaves step children Dori, Curt, Scott and Art, their spouses, many grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. He was a highly respected, loyal and honorable man who served in the Royal Canadian Navy from 1938 to 1945 and loved the sea all his life. Special thanks to the staff at Peace Arch Hospital, his doctors and especially all our church friends who sat with John on his last night so he would not be alone. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at First United Church, 15385 Semiahmoo Avenue, White Rock V4B-1T6, at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 1st. All his friends and relatives are welcome. If so desired, in lieu of flowers donations to the First United Church General Fund would be appreciated.
