With Much sorrow we announce the passing of John Petryk on Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria, BC. Predeceased by wife Maureen. Dearest father of Louise Smith and David Petryk and his wife Sandra. Step father of Jane Douglas and Paul Greig. Loving grandfather of Michael and Jordan Petryk, Ryan Smith, Natalie and Rebecca Douglas and Christopher Greig.
John was born in Bon Accord, AB on Oct 26, 1929. He worked and raised his family in Vancouver before retiring to White Rock. He lived his remaining days in Nanaimo.
Friends and family are invited to a celebration of life at Guildford Golf and Country Club on Monday, June 28 at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Canadian Kidney Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.
