TABER, John (Jack) Gardner - Born in 1922 in New Westminster, BC it is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Marjorie's soul mate John (Jack) Gardner Taber. He died peacefully at Peace Arch Hospital on January 1, 2009. He is predeceased by his parents Clarence and Mabel and brothers George and Frank. He will be missed by his wife Marjorie, daughter Lynne (Ray) Langley, son Ken (Beth), sister- in- law Bev, stepmother Vera, grandchildren Robert, Kenneth, Cody and Nicole, great grandchildren Amanda and Taran and cousin Ron (Chris). The family would like to thank the Physicians and Nurses of Peace Arch Hospital and Dr. E. Cant for their compassionate care. Jack lived life with enthusiasm and appreciation and was always generous with a smile and a hug. His joys of life included spending time with Marjorie, going for scooter runs with his pal Zoe, entertaining family and friends, enjoying a cup of coffee on Thursdays with his buddies, and playing snooker with his pals at Kent St. Senior Center. He loved meeting new friends and treasuring moments with current and old friends. Our lives have been enriched by having spent time with Jack. A Celebration of Life will be held at Kent Street Senior Center on February 1 at 2:30. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Peace Arch Hospital Foundation or a charity of your choice.
