John Brian Ward
July 24, 1935 - March 16, 2017
It is with sadness that the family of John Ward announces his passing on Thursday March 16th 2017. He passed away peacefully at home in Kelowna with his wife Vivienne of 50 years by his side. He was a gentle, kind, loving, caring man who will be truly missed. John worked for Firestone in Calgary and Vancouver, and owned Bilton's Art and Framing in North Vancouver. He volunteered at Peace Arch Hospital and Revenue Canada doing taxes for seniors plus was an active Council member of Hazelmere United Church in South Surrey, BC. John is survived by his wife Vivienne, a blended family of 7 children, 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, as well as one brother, two sisters, sister in-law (husband). No flowers please, but if you wish to honor John's memory please make a donation to the BC Heart and Stroke Foundation or to a charity of your choice. A Memorial Service will be held on May 26th 2017 from 2 - 4 pm at Benvoulin Heritage Church, 2279 Benvoulin Rd., Kelowna.
