Joseph Doncaster

DONCASTER: Joseph, Born in Nelson, B.C. February 9, 1923, passed away Nanaimo Hospital, January 22, 2007. Joe joined the Army in 1941, serving with the Royal Canadian Engineers throughout the Normandy campaign. He was on the beach on D Day, and in Holland on V.E. Day. Joe was married in England until the early 70's and had one son Jeffrey, who resides in Calgary. Joe graduated in engineering from the University of Minneapolis and practiced his profession for several years in Fort Williams & Burlington. One of his greatest accomplishments was the designing of the under-carriage for the famous "Arrow". Gradually his health deteriorated and he retired to the West Coast, where he was diagnosed with Post Trauma Stress Syndrome. He will be missed by his long time companion Heather McAndrew of Parksville, B.C. Arrangements confidently assigned to:
