DIGHTON: Joyce Olive: Born August 3, 1916, London, England: passed away May 3, 2005; Morgan Place Home, White Rock, B.C. after a long and courageous battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP).

Beloved wife of Vic Dighton who predeceased her on August 26, 2003; mother of Mel (Sue) and Jeff (Lynn), and Nana of Heather, Graham (Alicia), and Shawn (Rhonda); survived by brother Fred

(Gladys) of London; and relatives Joyce and Tony of Calgary; Grace, Doris, and John; all of England; and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brother Kenneth of England.

The family wishes to express our heartfelt thanks to Nazni, Trudi, and all the nursing staff and care workers at Morgan Place who provided love and comfort to Joyce in her last, difficult years.

Joyce's illness robbed her of the ability to speak; to move, and eventually her life. The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to the Canadian Parkinson's Foundation; or to Joyce's favorite charity the BC Professional Firefighters' Burn Fund.
