Kenneth COLERIDGE

April 18, 2005

COLERIDGE: Kenneth Myers of White Rock, British Columbia passed away April 18th, 2005 after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Ken was born June 7, 1927 in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

On December 12, 1953 Ken married Frances Cashen who became his lifetime partner and friend for 52 years. Ken was the proud father of 4 sons and with equal pride adopted his wife's young son from a previous marriage, giving him 5 wonderful sons.

After a 25 year career in the Royal Canadian Air Force Ken retired to White Rock. Ken then worked for BC Ferries and later the Vancouver Court House. During his retirement Ken discovered ultralighting and developed an enthusiasm for the game of golf and enjoyed many memorable days playing the game with his sons. Ken also proved to his sons that he was the master of the cribbage board.

A quiet man, Ken took great pleasure in watching his sons grow up. And then later took great delight with the arrival of each grandchild. Ken will be missed by all who knew him and will be remembered as a proud and loving husband, devoted father, caring grandfather and great-grandfather and a good friend to all. Ken was preceded in death by his infant son Casey whom he is finally getting to know after so many years. Ken is survived by his devoted wife Frances along with his sons Peter; John; James; and Robert. Ken's legacy continues through his sons to his grandchildren, Paul, Rebekah, Lawrence, Dillon, Dean, Nathaniel, and great granddaughter Taylor.

Ken will be remembered in a celebration of life on Saturday, April 30, 2005 at the Victory Memorial Chapel. Ceremony starts at 1:00 p.m., doors open at 12:00 noon. Friends of the family are welcome.

To honor Ken donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
