With such sorrow we announce the passing of Kerry George Quirk on June 24, 2017. Kerry grew up in White Rock and spent most of his life there – it was “home”. Over the years, he acquired many, many friends and several became lifelong buddies, both male and female.

In his late thirties, Kerry met the love of his life, Leanne Yardley, and a couple of years later they welcomed their son Riley, now 7 years old. Riley was their greatest achievement together and the light of their lives. They loved him dearly and were awesome parents who nurtured and adored their precious little boy. A very proud and passionate Ironworker with Union Local 97, Kerry was well-known and loved by those who worked with him. He was a hard worker, a stand-up guy that you could always count on and a hands-on, fair boss to any crew he supervised. He recently achieved his Ironworker Red Seal Certification and was planning to write the Welder Red Seal very soon.

Kerry was pre-deceased by his sister Trisha Quirk, his long-time partner Leanne Yardley, and his father, Dave Quirk.
