YOUNG, KITTY (Katherine)
Kitty passed away peacefully on May 19, 2007. Kitty was 87 years young. She is survived by her son Vern and daughter-in-law Susie (Brown) and step-son Richard (predeceased) and his wife Claude. Kitty deeply loved and cherished her 5 grandchildren Stephanie, Tanya, Michael, Benjamin and Tlell and 5 great grandchildren.
Kitty was born in Antwerp, Belgium and moved to Canada in 1947. Soon after Kitty met the love of her life Andy (Andrew) Young (predeceased 1982).
Kitty moved to White Rock/Ocean Park in 2001 where she met new friends and started her new west coast life. She would often telephone her friends in Bedford, Quebec, commenting on the warm wonderful weather in White Rock and share her joy of the beautiful flowers that bloomed throughout the year.
Kitty was known to always look her best at all times. She loved classical music, Belgian beer, pink geraniums, shrimp and most of all laughter. Kitty enjoyed her weekly luncheons at the Kent Street Seniors Centre and Camp "A" (Alexander) where she met with her friends to share laughs and good times.
Kitty (Grandma) will be deeply missed and remembered for her kind heartedness, wonderful smile and unconditional loving nature. At her request there will be no service. Friends and family are invited to attend a celebration of her life. A gathering will be held at 12580 - 20th Ave, in Ocean Park on Sunday May 27 from 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm.
