Lea McINTYRE

McIntyre, Lea was born in Brandon, Manitoba on July 21st, 1921 and passed away in the early morning of February 28th, 2006 in White Rock, B.C. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Eileen, son Rod (Pat), daughter Kathy (Laurie) Upton of Victoria and son Bence (Helen), grandchildren; Greg Johnston, Christy (Tim) Gorman, Niki (Dennis) Pandachuck, Terri Upton, Erica McIntyre and Allyson McIntyre & one great-grandson Kaelan Beckstead. Also survived by his twin brother Keith (Lilian), sister Ann (Garth) Toombs and sisters-in-law; Catherine McIntyre, Evelyn Swenson, Linda, Irene and Marguerite Wilson. Predeceased by his parents, Edith and Bence McIntyre and his brother Donald. Lea will be missed by family members, relatives and many friends. He grew up in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. He joined the Air Force in 1940 and continued in his chosen field until his retirement from Air Canada in 1983. He and Eileen moved to White Rock where they enjoyed a happy retirement in Cherry Brook Park and the Pacific Carlton Retirement Residence. A Celebration of Lea's Life took place Friday, March 3, 2006 at 1:00 P.M. at First United Church in White Rock, B.C.
