Lois Lindsay

November 14, 2003

Lois passed away at Peace Arch Hospital on November 14, 2003 in the loving arms of her family, Leonard (Dude) devoted husband of 55 years, and daughters Donna (Mardon) Chidlow and Sharilyn Lindsay. Predeceased three years ago by her precious mother Sarah (Fisher) Edridge. Also survived by brothers Ron Fisher, Pt. Coquitlam and Harold Fisher, Guelph, Ontario and their families.

Lois wa born in Ardath, Saskatchewan on a cold winter day 74 years ago. She was raised in Saskatoon where she attended Business School. She met Leonard while he was in the Army and after they married they moved to his hometown of Pt. Coquitlam and then to White Rock in 1960. Lois was active in leading Girl Guides - Brownies groups. She also volunteered for Church groups and the Peace Arch Hospital Auxiliary in the 60's, 70's and 80's, being Secretary of the Auxiliary at one time. Lois was totally devoted to her family and the love of her life was encouraging and enabling the accomplishments of her daughters. Lois never listed her occupation as a Housewife, but rather as a proud Homemaker.

A very special thank you from the family to Dr. Evelyn Shukin for her support and to the staff of GATU-PAH, especially Lillian RN. No flowers or formal service by request. Donations in Lois's name can be gratefully made to Peace Arch Hospital Auxiliary Society, 15521 Russell Ave., White Rock, B.C. V4B 2R4.
