GRAHAM, Lorna.
Born August 6,1937, unable to recover from a surgical procedure died peacefully at Peace Arch Hospital November 7, 2007 at the age of 70. Lorna was mom to Susan and Gary, Shelli & Christopher, Grandma to Todd,
Terri,Trish, Kaila, Amber & Becky. Sister to Maureen & Lloyd, Aunt to Collin & Lisa, Keith & Jasmine and Great Aunt to Jayden & Ethan.
Lorna was a surrogate Mother, a Teacher and a Friend to many,having spent 43 years in the White Rock/South Surrey community. She taught music for 20 years at Earl Marriott Secondary,but more than that she was a teacher with an open office door,a warm smile & hug, and a few minutes for any student or colleague who needed her throughout her 34 years of teaching. For many she was also a great Mentor and several students chose teaching and music as a result of Lorna being in their lives.
When Lorna retired in 1994 she joined the Peninsula Arts Foundation and continued to touch our community by encouraging young artistic talent with showcases and financial aid from the foundation.
Lorna was a multifaceted woman who had experienced much in her life. She was truly the greatest friend and provided support for many. Lorna will be deeply missed.
A celebration of her life will be held
November 24th, 2007, 4.30pm at Earl Marriott Secondary. 15751 16th Ave, South Surrey. Please donate to the Peninsula Arts Foundation in lieu of flowers.
