KILBY - Louise Adeline(nee Straker)

March 13, 1923 - June 21, 2008

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mom/Grandma/ Great Grandma.

Born in Blyth, Northumberland, England, Louise emigrated to Michel, B.C. in 1928, and eventually settled in Vancouver in 1942, where she met and married her husband Jack Robert Kilby in 1944. Predeceased by her parents John Robert and Adeline (Addie), and her loving husband Jack (deceased June 12, 2008), Louise is survived by daughters Terry (Alain), Diane (Eric) and Deborah, 5 grandchildren (& spouses), 7 great grandchildren, 2 brothers Bob (Kay) and Ken (Kathie), as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. One of Mom's many talents came to light when she took up oil painting, and it is an honour to have her masterpieces in our homes. She loved her flower garden, and like Dad, had a great love of nature. Her generous hugs and quick smiles will be sadly missed, but we know that she is reunited with Dad and we'll see them both again someday. At Louise's request, there will be no service. If desired, a donation in her memory to the B.C. Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
