1913-2004. Died peacefully Sunday, February 8. Predeceased by husband Ross in 1984, her sister Maureen, and her brother Doug. Survived by sons Gale (Pat), Jay (Sandi), grandchildren Christie, Greg (Marie), Kelly, Ross and great grandchildren Levi, Lauren, and Alexis, and her brother Sydney. Mabel had a full life, making many friends and pursuing her chosen interest with passion. She and Ross were married on April 14, 1938 and their two sons were born in 1940 and 1943. They enjoyed their home and Ross pursued his career as a pharmacist in Burnaby. As Gale and Jay grew, their home became and active hub for teenagers, involved in Young Life, one of Mabel's favourite volunteer activities. Mabel pursued many activities involving her strong Christian faith. She taught Sunday School, organized women's bible studies, actively supported Young Life of Canada's Work with teenagers, and also Inter Varsity Christian Fellowship. She was a chaplain for Sunday Line ministries. Always poised, attractive and gracious, Mabel was dearly loved and admired and will be greatly missed. She is at rest with her Lord. The memorial service is at Valley View Funeral Home in the Arbor Chapel at 14660-72nd Avenue, Surrey at 2:00 pm Friday, February 13, 2004.
