It is with great sadness that we announce that Maggie passed away at Peace Arch Hospital after her courageous cancer battle. Her husband Jens wishes to offer thanks to the tremendous staff of the Peace Arch Hospital palliative care department including the nurses and support staff. In addition, the compassion and assistance demonstrated by doctors King, Lowe and Duncan was of particular significance to both Maggie and Jens. The family will be remembering Maggie privately but would ask that friends and acquaintances take a moment to remember the years of commitment she made to her career in nursing and to the family farm that was her labour of love. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Peace Arch Hospital Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.
