Marlene passed away peacefully at Peace Arch Hospital August 7, 2009. She was born in Vancouver on May 14, 1932. She attended Lord Kitchener Elementary in Dunbar and was a graduate of Lord Byng High School.
She is survived by her loving husband, Eric, of 54 years and her four children, David Lawrence (Annie), Ann Hayward, Martha McEvoy (Glenn), and Sara Lawrence - Pallmann (Thomas). She is also survived by her five grandsons, Kyle, Lorne, Daniel, Deric, and Lucas, as well as step - granddaughters, Emelyne and Miriam, and step-grandson Shane. Marlene enjoyed her years as a senior UBC student and as a real estate agent during the 1980's and 1990's. Her family was a major key to her enjoyment of life. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Contributions can be made to the Peace Arch Hospital in lieu of flowers. No funeral service at her request, but internment will take place at Valleyview Memorial Gardens, 14644 72nd Ave., Surrey, on Tuesday, August 18th at 1:30pm
