With much sorrow, we announce the passing of Marvin on Friday May 14, 2010 who died suddenly of a massive heart attack. Beloved husband and friend of Sonia (nee Bortnak) for 45 years. Devoted son of the late John and Agnes Perry of Yorkton, SK. Dearest father of Christine (and husband Tim), Robert and Carmen. Loving grandfather to Shannon and Aleena. Survived by his sister Sandra and her husband Jim of Canmore, AB, and brother Keith and his wife Josie of Yorkton, SK.

Marvin was born and raised in Yorkton, SK. He and his family moved to White Rock in 1977. Marvin had several careers during his life. In Saskatchewan, he worked as a civil engineer with the Department of Highways, and then as a municipal tax assessor. In White Rock, with the help of his family, he operated a home inspection business and Country Sun Foods. Marvin took an early retirement in 2005 and he and Sonia spent much time with their friends in Arizona, golfing and enjoying life.

Marvin will be remembered for his sense of humor, loving kindness, generous spirit and his devotion to his family. He was a precious gift to us all.

A Memorial Service to celebrate Marvin's life was held Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at Peace Portal Alliance Church in Surrey, B.C.
