SMITH, MINNIE
Passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Surrey Memorial Hospital on Monday, September 1, 2008 at the age of 79 years. Minnie was pre- deceased by her beloved husband, Byron: her parents Mike and Josephine Sask and ten brothers and sisters. She is survived by her daughters Debra (Bob) and Colleen (Randy) and by her pride and joy, her four grandchildren, Ashleigh, Jordan, Sarah and Shaun, as well as any other relatives and friends. Minnie's only surviving sister is Julie Sebastian of Wembley, Alberta. Minnie was born in Foam Lake Saskatchewan on Sept. 12, 1928. On May 28, 1974, she married Byron. Family was always a first priority and she will be dearly missed by all. A celebration of Minnie's life was held on Saturday, September 6, 2008 at 2:30 pm at Valley View Funeral Home in the Arbor Chapel, 14660 - 72 Ave., Surrey. Heartfelt thanks go to the many family and friends for your love, kindness and wonderful support. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
