Olin Locke Tillotson

January 29, 1926 - February 10, 2017

Olin died peacefully surrounded by family. He was predeceased by his wife of 37 years, Brenda, and is survived by his first wife, Betty, and their children, Jane, Mark, Anne, Joel and Paul, along with grandchildren and great grandchildren. Olin contributed to countless people in need throughout his career as a vocational rehabilitation counsellor, first in California and then in his adoptive country of Canada at GF Strong Rehabilitation Center. He was an avid collector of early key-wind music boxes, working to preserve the heritage of the European craftsmen of the mid-1800’s. He also had a passionate interest in genealogy and published comprehensive books on the Tillotson and Post (on his mother’s side) families and ancestry. Olin and Brenda loved to travel and enjoyed many elder-hostels, cruises and other travel adventures together. Olin’s memorial will be held on Saturday, March 11, at 11 a.m. at Victory Memorial Park Funeral Center, 14831 28th Ave, Surrey, BC. In lieu of flowers, donations to Doctors Without Borders would be appreciated.
