Charleston, Olive

Our dearest Mum gran - great gran quietly slipped away August 14, 2009. She came into this world January 25, 1913 born in the little village of Clyro, Wales. Mum lived in many places during her long life and made many friends. She came to Canada 33 years ago to join her family, from the moment she stepped off the plane she was a mover & a shaker. Mum spent many hours babysitting & crocheting hundreds of afghans for family, friends & charities. She joined the I.O.D.E. & through that worked as a volunteer at P.A.H. Wetherby & Al Hogg Pavillion. Mum also worked as "The Card Lady" in Shoppers Drug Mart until she retired at 90 years of age.

Mum will be deeply missed by her son Christopher (England), her daughter Diana, grandchildren; Antony (Cynthia), Vikki (Dave), Nikki (Colin), Tim (Paula), great grandchildren; Kelsey, Zach, Montana, Hayden, Haymanot, Joe, Jack, Harry, Billy & Joshua.

The family would like to thank the staff in the G.A.T.U for the kindness, compassion & humour you showed to our special lady. Thanks also to Dr. Gibbings & Dr. Gayton. You will be missed more than you'll ever know. No Service by request. A Memorial Tea will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to Peace Arch Hospital in Olive's Memory.
