MORITZ, Patricia Jane (nee Oliver)
Another pioneer has left us. Born March 9th, 1922, passed away in the early hours of April 26th, 2010. Pat, the daughter of Gabriel and Florence Oliver, grew up on the family homestead now called Sunnyside Park. She remained in the area, and with her husband Al Moritz, they raised their 2 children. Pat loved life, good friends, cooking, music, was a force to be dealt with, and always had an infectious laugh. She was one of the women instrumental in the building of Sunnyside Elementary School. We will always miss her but are happy that she is together with her husband. Survived by her loving family, daughter Diane Morrision (Tom) of Winnipeg; son Bert Moritz (Val) of South Surrey; grandchildren Brent Davies (Lea Ann) of Whitby, ON; Greg Davies (Deana); Lisa Hoes (Frank) all of Winnpeg; Sean Moritz (Darcy) and Brad Moritz (Brenda) all of Surrey. Pat was also "Great Granny" to 8 great grandchildren.
