Born in Ocean Park July 16th, 1921, Ralph was the first baby baptized at the Crescent Park United Church.

Dad graduated from Normal School in 1942 and taught school in the Cariboo for a year prior to enlisting in the RCAF in 1943 where he served for almost 30 years.

During WWII he served as a navigator, working in anti-submarine oerations based out of Halifax, NS.

After the war Dad served in France commanding a section of the Commonwealth Missing Research and Enquiry Unit. This was followed by postings to Toronto, Moose Jaw, England, France and finally Ottawa.

Upon his retirement Dad returned to Ocean Park where he pursued his love of gardening, reading and history.

Ralph was a long-time member of Crescent Legion #240 where he held many executive positions including President and Chairman of the Poppy Fund.

Many thanks to the caring staff of Peace Portal Lodge in White Rock for the loving care they gave our dad.
