His Honour Judge Philip Reid Govan, formerly of the Provincial Court of B.C. It is with great sorrow we announce that after a valiant and courageous battle, Philip died peacefully in the arms of his family on December 18, 2002. He leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved wife, Mary Jane. He also leaves to mourn him, stepsons Philip (Sarica), Tom (Lisa), Roy (Cheryl) and Ryan (Chrissy); his eight precious grandchildren; brothers Brian (Ruth) and Victor (Shirley) and brother and sister-in-law Harry and Jean. A memorial service will be held at Saanich Peninsula Presbyterian Church, 9296 East Saanich Rd., Sidney, B.C. on Saturday, January 4, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
